Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Niwot). They took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 72-26 win over the Prairie View Thunderhawks. With that victory, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 52 points per game.

Leading Niwot to victory were Alaina Loomis and Thalia Alamaraz. Loomis went 7 of 11 en route to 18 points, while Alamaraz went 7 of 12 on her way to 13 points and six steals. Alamaraz is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Zechman, who posted eight points and three steals.

Niwot was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Niwot's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Prairie View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Niwot wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-46 victory against Greeley West on the 20th. As for Prairie View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 103-27 loss against Columbine on the 20th.
