Ingalls is 0-10 against Spearville since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ingalls Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Spearville Lancers at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Ingalls suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were dealt a 87-37 loss at the hands of Meade. Ingalls has struggled against Meade recently, as their game on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Ingalls saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Logan Simon, who scored nine points along with two blocks, was perhaps the best of all. That's the first time this season that Simon posted two or more blocks. Lane Lightner was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Spearville was the victim of a rough 56-34 defeat at the hands of South Central on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Spearville has scored all season.
Ingalls now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Spearville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Ingalls couldn't quite finish off Spearville in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 and fell 55-52. Can Ingalls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
