Miami East scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Versailles Tigers by a score of 57-55. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for Miami East and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Versailles, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Miami East and Piqua will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Miami East is facing Piqua at the right time seeing as Piqua is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Versailles, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tippecanoe at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tippecanoe will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Versailles surely won't give up without a fight.
