Ridgefield Park has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Westwood Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgefield Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Westwood is ranked 28th).
Last Friday, Ridgefield Park was just a hair shy of victory and fell 29-28 to Dumont.
Despite the defeat, Ridgefield Park had strong showings from Francisco Then, who rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns, and Shea Losino, who picked up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Losino is on a roll when it comes to solo tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last four games he's played.
Meanwhile, Westwood put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They put the hurt on Lakeland Regional with a sharp 30-7 victory. Fans of Westwood have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
It was another big night for Robbie Carcich, who threw for 213 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes.
Ridgefield Park's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18 points per game. As for Westwood, their win on Friday bumped their record up to 7-0.
