3A - South recap September 4, 2013
Nick Robins and Dedric Davidson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Ben Lomond. The connection went for 60 yards, the longest such play in 3A - South this season.
Canyon View fell to Cedar City 63-2 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tevan Vasi ran for 74 yards in the loss.
Juab's dynamic duo of Robins and Davidson proved to be unstoppable against the Scots, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Robins threw for 190 yards and 5 touchdowns and Davidson had 98 yards receiving. Brandon Morgan helped Juab's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 45 yards.
The Wasps' dynamic duo of Robins and Davidson proved tough for Ben Lomond to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Davidson was the best receiver in the league this week as Juab beat Aaron Dooley's team.
Jared Schiess was a key player and the best on defense this week as Manti beat Provo. He racked up 2.5 sacks.
Robins put up the best numbers in passing as Mike Bowring's team bested the Scots.
Kamren Fowles was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 112 yards on 11 carries as the Templars topped Ben Lomond. Connor Aste also contributed to the rushing game with 75 yards on the ground.
He went 10-12 with 0 interceptions.
Juab's Robins and Davidson have formed a dream team this season, leading 3A - South in both passing and receiving yards. Robins has thrown for 358 yards this season, while Davidson has 6 catches for 139 yards. Fowles from Manti leads the league in rushing with 175 yards.
The Wasps led the league in scoring this week by notching 48 points on the Scots. Robins ran for 12 yards during the win.
