The South Hunterdon Eagles will be playing at home against the Belvidere County Seaters at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in South Hunterdon's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
Last Thursday, South Hunterdon was able to grind out a solid win over North Hunterdon, taking the game 56-46. The win was all the more spectacular given South Hunterdon's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while North Hunterdon is ranked 147th).
Meanwhile, Belvidere's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 60-46 fall against Central Jersey College Prep. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Belvidere in their matchups with Central Jersey College Prep: they've now lost three in a row.
South Hunterdon's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Belvidere, they bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
Everything came up roses for South Hunterdon against Belvidere when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 88-27 win. Does South Hunterdon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Belvidere turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
