The Florida College Academy Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 44-24 walloping at the hands of Cypress Creek. Florida College Academy was down 37-12 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Cypress Creek was led to victory by Kaitlyn Pendleton and Deslynn Nickell. Pendleton scored 12 points along with three steals, while Nickell scored 18 points along with two steals.
Florida College Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cypress Creek, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florida College Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Families Instructing Students HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Families Instructing Students HomeSchool's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Florida College Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Cypress Creek, they will head out on the road to challenge Fivay at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
