North Posey has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the South Knox Spartans at 6:00 p.m. North Posey will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 236th, while South Knox is ranked 15th).
Last Saturday, it was a hard-fought contest, but North Posey had to settle for a 50-47 loss against Crawford County.
Despite their loss, North Posey saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Elle Jo Johnson, who scored ten points, was perhaps the best of all. Jazalyn Ward was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
South Knox has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Castle on Saturday as South Knox made off with a 59-36 win. The win was familiar territory for South Knox who now have three in a row.
North Posey bumped their record down to 3-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for South Knox, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
