The Harrisonville Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Summit Christian Academy Eagles at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Harrisonville had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their game on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 66-34 win over University Academy Charter.
Meanwhile, Summit Christian Academy took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). They blew past DeLaSalle Charter 93-31 at home.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Summit Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mike Thomas iii, who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kash Pritchard, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals.
Harrisonville's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Summit Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 1-0.
Harrisonville came up short against Summit Christian Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2021, falling 44-35. Can Harrisonville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
