On Tuesday, Abramson earned a 35-22 win over St. Katharine Drexel. The win made it back-to-back wins for Abramson.
Caitlin Smith and A'myree Jones certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Smith dropped a double-double on 16 rebounds and 11 blocks, while Jones scored four points. Smith is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Abramson pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for St. Katharine Drexel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Abramson will take on Carver Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Carver Collegiate Academy is ranked 217th, while Abramson is ranked 240th). As for St. Katharine Drexel, they will be playing at home against East Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Jefferson will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
