The Millburn Millers proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 27) but on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Watchung Hills Regional 54-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Millburn has posted since January 17th.
It was another big night for Zach Benmorits, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Plotkin, who scored 12 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Millburn and bumps their season record up to 15-5. As for Watchung Hills Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 15-5.
Millburn will be playing at home against the Red Devil at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Ridge is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Watchung Hills Regional, they will head out on the road to square off against the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
