Columbus were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their matchup against Waukon last Friday. Columbus suffered a grim 12-38 defeat to Waukon. Columbus' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
As for North Fayette Valley, they had a rough outing against Monticello two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. North Fayette Valley strolled past Oelwein with points to spare, taking the match 24-6.
Columbus took a serious blow against North Fayette Valley the last time the two teams met, falling 6-56. Can Columbus avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
