The Philomath Warriors made easy work of the Gaston Greyhounds on Wednesday and carried off a 21-2 win. Considering the Warriors have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Hailey Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Smith was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.
In other batting news, Kaylie Kohler was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jenae Traglia, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
