Softball Recap: East Ridge Has No Trouble Against Cooper City

While East Ridge put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Cooper City. The East Ridge Knights blew past the Cooper City Cowboys 13-0. Considering the Knights have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

East Ridge got a massive performance out of Lelia Bolden, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Veronica Peterson, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

East Ridge's record now sits at 8-1. As for Cooper City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

East Ridge has already played their next contest, a 14-3 victory against LaBelle on the 14th. As for Cooper City, their road trip will continue as they head out to face American at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cooper City has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
