The Maxwell Wildcats had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Sandhills Valley at home to the tune of 56-18. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Maxwell has managed all season.
Maxwell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jocelyn Cheek, who scored 12 points along with four blocks. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Flock, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Maxwell's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8. As for Sandhills Valley, they bumped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.
