O'Connor is 6-1 against Holmes since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The O'Connor Panthers will be playing at home against the Holmes Huskies at 2:00 p.m. O'Connor will be strutting in after a victory while Holmes will be coming in after a loss.
O'Connor fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They were the clear victor by a 38-17 margin over Sotomayor.
O'Connor's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryder Dorn, who threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Brayden Hennig, who rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Holmes' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Brennan, falling 69-7. Holmes was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-0.
O'Connor's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Holmes, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
