Softball Recap: Ridgeline Academy Wins Going Away Against Imagine Prep Superstition

Ridgeline Academy's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 20-3 margin over the Imagine Prep Superstition Panthers. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 14 runs or more this season.

Maddie Martinez and Gretchen Clower did most of the damage at the plate: Martinez scored three runs and stole five bases while going 3-for-4, while Clower went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits Clower has posted since back in April of 2024. Makenna Hepting was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Ridgeline Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for Imagine Prep Superstition, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coincidentally, Ridgeline Academy and Imagine Prep Superstition will both be playing Heritage Academy the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Heroes at 3:45 p.m. on Monday, while the Eagles will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
