Volleyball Recap: Tokay Has No Trouble Against Stagg

Tokay won the last time they faced Stagg and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers blew past the Delta Kings 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Tokay was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-12, 25-14.

Alyssa Wilson paced Tokay's offense, picking up eight kills. Wilson got some help from Kalleigh Lepard and her 11 assists. Wilson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 11 aces.

Several Delta Kings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daniela Vargas, who had five kills and four blocks. Vargas is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now had three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Tokay's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Stagg, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Tokay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Franklin on the 17th. As for Stagg, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Bear Creek on the 17th.
