Hatch extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Monday, bumping them up to 5-0. They came out on top against the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights by a score of 76-66. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bobcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Knights are ranked 96th).

As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they moved to 4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (65), they still had to take the loss.

Tuscaloosa Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Bryant Brown, who posted 24 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Mark Norris, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.
