After a string of four wins, Benton's good fortune finally ran out. They have to be aching after a bruising 6-34 defeat to Union. The state rankings had actually given Benton a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Nevada's victory lifted them to 3-2 while Benton's loss dropped them down to 4-1. We'll see if Nevada's success rolls on or if Benton are able to steal their positive momentum.
