Los Altos won against Wilcox  last Thursday with five  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Tuesday. The Eagles beat the Mountain View Spartans by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  5-2. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Spartans on their field since May 4, 2022.

The  victory made it two in a row for Los Altos and  bumps their season record up to 11-9. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4  runs in those games. As for Mountain View, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 8-10.
 Looking ahead, Los Altos will welcome Homestead  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mountain View, they are taking a road trip to  square off against Gunn  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.43  runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
