Loss or not, Doherty got some senior leadership from Elliana Adams and Kaity Driskell. Adams dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, while Driskell posted nine points. The dominant performance gave Adams a new career-high in points.
Even though they lost, Doherty smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chaparral only pulled down four offensive rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Ralston Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Santana Sabus almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. The game was Sabus' 11th in a row with at least ten points. Sammi Madden was another key player, putting up six points.
