After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Powers Catholic, Midland was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 55-45 win over the Central Wolves. The Chemics haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Central's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Steve Kushion, who posted ten points and eight boards. The dominant performance also gave Kushion a new career-high in steals (two). Another player making a difference was Terrill Campbell, who scored ten points and six rebounds.

Midland picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-16. As for Central, they dropped their record down to 2-17 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home.

Midland and Central could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Midland (ranked 467th) will meet Grand Blanc (ranked 46th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Central will take on Saginaw United at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 531 places (583 vs. 52).
