The Bishop Shanahan Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Downingtown West Whippets at 7:00 p.m. Bishop Shanahan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Downingtown West is ranked 21st).
Bishop Shanahan unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by Coatesville on the road and fell 55-25. Bishop Shanahan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-12.
Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins dating back to last season, Downingtown West's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 28-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chester.
The losses dropped Bishop Shanahan to 4-4 and Downingtown West to 7-1.
Bishop Shanahan took a serious blow against Downingtown West in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 56-20. Can Bishop Shanahan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
