In what's become a running theme this season, the Lone Pine Golden Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They breezed by Trona on the road to the tune of 72-43. The victory was familiar territory for Lone Pine who now have 12 in a row.
Lone Pine got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cristian Duran out in front who scored 20 points along with two steals. Duran has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Alfonso Castro was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten assists and ten steals.
Lone Pine's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points per game. As for Trona, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Lone Pine and the Warriors will face off at 5:00 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Trona, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Cubs at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
