Jase Ferguson Delivers Electric Performance Vs Punxsutawney
Jase Ferguson was instrumental in extending Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion]'s winning streak to eight on Friday. Ferguson turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 334 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushing for 66 yards and two touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending three passes.
Punxsutawney had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Ferguson it was a similar story. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Ferguson saw Punxsutawney), he threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 97 yards on only 13 carries.

Easton Belfiore Turns in Season-Best Effort
Brookville was led to victory by Easton Belfiore, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Belfiore rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August.
With the victory, Brookville broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6. Belfiore and Brookville will be playing in front of their home fans against Port Allegany on Friday.

Brookville's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Kolton Griffin
Thanks in part to Kolton Griffin, Brookville said goodbye to their six-game losing streak. On Friday Griffin rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the season, Griffin has run in those 2 touchdowns while averaging 38.5 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 20 rushing yards per game.

Sankey Posts Huge Game in 48-8 Loss
While Brendin Sankey delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Moniteau. Nobody could stop Sankey as he threw for 146 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 52 yards.
Moniteau is on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8. Sankey and Moniteau will challenge Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hunter Scherer Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Hunter Scherer of Karns City. Scherer picked up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Karns City is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Scherer and Karns City will challenge Keystone on Friday.
