After flying high against the Alba Wildcats last Tuesday, the Wolverine Wildcats came back down to earth. The contest between Wolverine and Ellsworth wasn't particularly close, with Wolverine falling 68-52. Wolverine was down 54-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
It was another big night for Patrick Puroll, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds for Ellsworth. Puroll is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cameron Snyder, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.
Wolverine's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Ellsworth, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.
Wolverine's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Boyne Falls at 5:30 p.m. on February 12th. As for Ellsworth, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-39 defeat vs. Alanson on the 9th.
