Lucas Gonzalez posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

Gonzalez's effort led Hampton over Woodland and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
