The Iola Bulldogs fell victim to the Bremond Tigers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Tigers at home and fell 48-0. Iola has struggled against Bremond recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Bremond found their leader in underclassman Terrence Scott, who rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also caught a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Koben Zan, who rushed for 104 yards on only 13 carries.
Iola's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Bremond, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Iola will face off against Falls City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Falls City will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Bremond, they will take on Yorktown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Yorktown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1022nd, while Bremond is ranked 505th).
