Friday just wasn't the day for the Pike County Bulldogs's offense. They fell 10-0 to Houston Academy. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, Pike County couldn't push the score so high this time.
Pike County bumped their record down to 4-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.0 points per game. As for Houston Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Pike County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Houston Academy will head out on the road to face off against Alabama Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alabama Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Houston Academy likes a good challenge.
