The Booker Kiowas have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Beaver with a sharp 55-30 victory on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Booker's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 1052nd in Texas, while Beaver is ranked 401st in Oklahoma).
Hagen Chisum was his usual excellent self, scoring ten points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Eduin Gallegos, who scored seven points along with seven assists and five steals.
Booker pushed their record up to 11-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Beaver, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Booker will face off against Dalhart at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaver's road trip will continue as they head out to face Turpin at 8:00 p.m. on January 9th.
