Nate Hershey posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024.

Looking ahead, Hershey and West Jessamine will square off against Campbell County at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. West Jessamine will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 116 places lower in Kentucky), but they're not letting that get them down.
