Redmond's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Yuki Willis led the charge by scoring 21 points along with 8 assists and 6 steals. Another player making a difference was Isabel Schneider, who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds.
Redmond's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Edmonds-Woodway, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Redmond will be playing at home against Cedarcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Edmonds-Woodway will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Snohomish at 7:15 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
