Baseball Recap: First Preparatory Christian Academy Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when First Preparatory Christian Academy and Coastal HomeSchool meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Highlanders fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 6-5. The Highlanders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hurricanes earlier this season, when they won 4-0.

First Preparatory Christian Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Streeper, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Nayam Ortiz was another, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

First Preparatory Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Coastal HomeSchool, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-17.

First Preparatory Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coastal HomeSchool, they will square off against Vidalia Heritage Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
