Edgemont put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Banner County Wildcats 47-18. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Moguls just coasted through the last quarter.
Edgemont's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tavian Urban, who posted nine points and four steals. Urban is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Hollenbeck, who earned nine points and six rebounds.
Edgemont was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Banner County only posted three assists.
Despite the loss, Banner County saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kyrie Roldan had four points along with 16 boards and three steals. Those 16 boards set a new season-high mark for Roldan.
Edgemont's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Banner County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Edgemont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-53 defeat against Philip on the 2nd.
