The Pelham Pythons will square off against the Hollis-Brookline Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Pelham 2.2, Hollis-Brookline 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Pelham is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Merrimack Valley on Tuesday. The Pythons came out on top against the Pride by a score of 7-2. The Pythons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

04/16/25 vs Milford | 2 |
Jake Davidson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on James Patchen, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He also put up a hit, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nick Muise, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Hollis-Brookline strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Milford an 11-0 shutout. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cavaliers yet this season.
Dylan Morelli made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Morelli was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Thomas Howie was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Connor Gryniewicz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Hollis-Brookline was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .393 or higher in three consecutive games.
Hollis-Brookline's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Pelham, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Pelham has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hollis-Brookline struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Pelham was able to grind out a solid victory over Hollis-Brookline in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 9-6. Will the Pythons repeat their success, or do the Cavaliers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
