The Edison Vikings will head out to take on the Chavez Titans on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Chavez will be up against a hot Edison team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Vikings put the hurt on Stagg with a sharp 16-7 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won four games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Haylie Berdot was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Angeleya Miranda
| 03/17/26 @ Stagg | 5 |
| 04/17/25 vs McNair | 4 |
| 02/20/25 @ Grant | 3 |
| 03/13/26 vs Venture Academy | 2 |
| 02/28/26 vs Sonora | 2 |
In other batting news, Edison got a massive performance out of Angeleya Miranda, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Miranda a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lelia Tatupu, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chavez). Everything went their way against Franklin on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-1 victory. The Titans not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 5, 2025 (when they won 16-3).
Like Edison, Chavez also got a great game from a two-way player: Alahnee Small. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Small has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one triple.
In other batting news, Wendy Ibarra was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those RBI were her first of the season. Gabriella Gomes was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Chavez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Edison now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Chavez, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.
Chavez's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Edison has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .455. It's a different story for Chavez, though, as they've only averaged .358. Will they be able to contain Edison's hitters?
Edison came out on top in a nail-biter against Chavez in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 9-7. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
