Baseball Recap: Pahranagat Valley Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Pahranagat Valley won against Round Mountain last Friday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Pahranagat Valley put the hurt on the GV Christian Guardians with a sharp 17-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Keadin (CJ) Christian was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Christian was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Logan Thiriot was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Colin Howard, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Pahranagat Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Pahranagat Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. GV Christian dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pahranagat Valley is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Indian Springs at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Indian Springs has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.8 runs per game on average), something Pahranagat Valley will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for GV Christian, they will square off against White Pine at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. GV Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: White Pine has averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
