The Greensburg Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Lawrenceburg Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Greensburg barely beat Hauser the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates put the hurt on the Jets with a sharp 11-1 win on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Pirates, who have now won three matches in a row.

Harper Adams spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, Lawrenceburg came into Thursday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over Batesville on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the game before.
Reigha Ghiatis was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Hall, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.
Lawrenceburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Lawrenceburg's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Greensburg, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Greensburg has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lawrenceburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Greensburg was able to grind out a solid victory over Lawrenceburg in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 4-0. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
