Crossroads Charter Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donny Guernsey, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Guernsey's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. Another player making a difference was Alex Erturk, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Marion's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Crossroads Charter Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road.
Marion will challenge Walkerville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Walkerville is ranked 649th, while Marion is ranked 660th). As for Crossroads Charter Academy, they will be playing at home against Mason County Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Mason County Eastern's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
