Meanwhile, Yoder tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Nofziger has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Nofziger went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Yoder got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Nofziger is becoming a predictor of Shekinah Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Alex Bauermeister was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Max Kilzer was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Shekinah Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northside Christian only posted an OBP of .250.
