Mansfield Senior (Mansfield, Ohio) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Clear Fork (Bellville, Ohio), 40-0, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Jalen Reese touchdown pass to
Robert Jones in the first quarter, the Tygers led 23-0 at the half.
Mansfield Senior grew its lead to 37 points entering the fourth quarter. MS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Tyquan Vickers.
Mansfield Senior's standout player in the win was Reese. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns.
The Tygers got revenge for last year's 35-28 loss to the Colts with the victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Clear Fork, which notched a 40-8 victory over Shelby in its previous outing. With the win Mansfield Senior extended its winning streak to four games.
Mansfield Senior (4-0) will play a Ohio Cardinal game against Orrville next week, while Clear Fork (2-2) will take on Lexington also in a Ohio Cardinal game.
