Harrisonville has gone a perfect 4-0 against Clinton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Harrisonville took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Pleasant Hill as they made off with a 31-6 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Wildcats have posted against the Roosters/Chicks since September 11, 2020.

Levi Hall had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 85 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 178 yards and one TD while completing 78.6% of his passes. Those 178 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Harrisonville's leading receiver Stryker Gilmore was Hall's top target yet again, picking up 111 receiving yards and one score.
Harrisonville's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Keller Johnson with two sacks. Braydon Kanenbley got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Clinton came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to Pleasant Hope/Halfway for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-0 win. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while Pleasant Hope/Halfway are ranked 309th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
A big part of Clinton's victory came down to the chemistry between Debroski Harris and his top target Camden Westendorff. Harris gained 119 total yards and a touchdown while Westendorff threw for 151 yards and three touchdowns. Harris was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.
Clinton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 219 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 162 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Clinton's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Harrisonville, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Harrisonville has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 205.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Clinton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 261 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Harrisonville beat Clinton 12-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
