DuVal is 9-1 against Laurel since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. On Tuesday, DuVal strolled past Suitland with points to spare, taking the game 62-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for DuVal.
Meanwhile, Laurel entered their tilt with Parkdale with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Laurel walked away with a 68-57 victory over Parkdale on Tuesday. 68 seems to be a good number for Laurel as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
DuVal pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Laurel, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
DuVal didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Laurel in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, but they still walked away with a 44-38 victory. Will DuVal repeat their success, or does Laurel have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
