When it comes to explaining why Front Range Baptist lost, one person who can't be blamed is Katie Jaques. Despite the final result, she scored four points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Front Range Baptist struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Among those leading the charge was JANIYA SMITH, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was JULISA QUINTEROS, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Front Range Baptist bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.8 points per game. As for Arickaree, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Front Range Baptist will head out on the road to face off against Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Arickaree, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Weldon Valley at 5:00 p.m. Weldon Valley comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
