Northwestern Lehigh Wins Eighth-Straight Thanks to Eli Zimmerman
Eli Zimmerman's big game helped extend Northwestern Lehigh's winning streak to eight on Friday. Zimmerman's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Northwestern Lehigh pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Zimmerman and Northwestern Lehigh will head out on the road to challenge Tamaqua at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Luke Kane's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tamaqua over Lehighton
Tamaqua had to settle for second on Friday, but Luke Kane sure wasn't going down easily. Lehighton had no answer to Kane as he rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 134 yards on ten of 17 attempts.
For the year, Kane has averaged 116.8 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to ten.
