While The Village School of Naples put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Everglades City. The Village School of Naples was the clear victor by a 17-0 margin over Everglades City. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

EJ Murphy made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other pitching news, Nolan Baxter looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

Back at the plate, The Village School of Naples let Anthony Vigil and Luke Leeber run wild. Vigil scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Leeber scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave Leeber a new career-high. Ethan Born was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

The Village School of Naples always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .757. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win (which was The Village School of Naples' fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.6 runs over those games. As for Everglades City, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-6.
