After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Collierville, the Arlington Tigers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They managed a 40-35 victory over Southwind. That's another feather in the cap for Arlington, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Arlington found their leader in underclassman Taylor Miller, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Micaiah Adams, who scored four points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Canija Madison, who scored five points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Juliannah Sharp, who scored nine points.
Arlington's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Southwind, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.
Arlington will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bartlett presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Tigers in Tennessee (the Panthers are ranked 16th, while the Tigers are ranked 205th). As for Southwind, they will be playing at home against the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
