Vincent Memorial's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Pancho Tejada, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 assists. The match was Tejada's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Santiago Herrera, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds.
Vincent Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Calipatria, their loss dropped their record down to 6-1.
Vincent Memorial will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Shadow Hills at 4:30 p.m. on December 9th. As for Calipatria, they will square off against Imperial at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Imperial will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 764th, while Calipatria is ranked 194th).
