The Wilmington Christian Academy Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Bethel Christian Academy Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Monday, Wilmington Christian Academy made easy work of Liberty Christian Academy and carried off an 18-7 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Patriots' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Lydia Naylor and Peyton Hedge did most of the damage at the plate: Naylor scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances, while Hedge scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. Naylor is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bayleigh Robinson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Wilmington Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .448.
Meanwhile, Bethel Christian Academy hadn't done well against Arendell Parrott Academy recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bethel Christian Academy put the hurt on Arendell Parrott Academy with a sharp 19-7 win. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly 12 runs.
Suzanne Rouse was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Rouse was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-5.
In other batting news, Bethel Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Lillie Turner, who scored four runs while going 4-for-4. Avery Cash was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-5.
The victory made it two in a row for Bethel Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 12 runs. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Wilmington Christian Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .592. However, it's not like Bethel Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .581. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
